My first time reading a Chinese novel was when I was about nine or ten years old. I had watched many Chinese series before, but they didn't really capture my interest. However, when I started reading Chinese novels, I realized that they had a special place in my heart and brought a new brightness to my life.

My favorite types of Chinese novels are those set in historical periods and those with fantasy elements. Reading historical novels allows me to learn about Chinese history in a more interesting way than just reading a history book. The stories are captivating and make it easier for me to remember the details. Whenever I find something interesting in a novel, I search for more information and end up learning even more about Chinese history. This knowledge has helped me achieve the highest score in my class without as much effort as my classmates, especially during our Chinese history lessons.

Chinese novels have also taught me a lot about Chinese culture. I've learned that each dynasty has its own unique culture, even though they are all Chinese. From costumes to hairstyles, there are distinct differences. I've also discovered Chinese festivals like the Qixi Festival, which is known as the Chinese Valentine's Day, and the Yuan Xiao Festival, also known as the Lantern Festival. The novels have been a great source of knowledge about Chinese culture, and I've enjoyed learning about it through the stories.

Another fascinating genre is Chinese fantasy novels. These stories often include Chinese myths and involve gods, immortal beings, and mythical creatures. There are extraordinary powers and inner strengths that only exist in Chinese novels, which make the stories even more interesting. There are different flavors, such as drama, comedy, action, and romance. Some stories may seem similar, but the details make each one unique, keeping me engaged and wanting to read more.

Chinese novels are like missing puzzle pieces in my life. Although their absence doesn't make me feel like I'm missing something vital, their return brings a bright and joyful feeling that enriches my life.

The stories and details in Chinese novels are truly unique. You won't find the same feeling anywhere else. Not only do you enjoy the stories, but you also gain knowledge along the way. I highly recommend Chinese novels to anyone who hasn't tried reading them before. Who knows, they might open up a whole new world of novels for you, just like they did for me.
