Unlocking the Power of Language: The Key to Global Connectivity

Written by Bua

Language is one of the skills that are important in our lives. Some of us are born with a natural talent in this field, while others are not. To ensure they have an equal chance to thrive in a society that requires language proficiency, we can start teaching them communication skills from a very young age. Some theories liken children to clear glass, capable of absorbing knowledge.

I support the concept that children should begin learning foreign languages after they enter the education system. From my experience, I heard my parents talking in English when we visited foreign countries. It was genuinely helpful for me as a child learning to pronounce words in different languages with various accents. Though I can't recall all those words they said, I'm confident they were all useful in daily life.

Moreover, we live in a globalized society, connecting people worldwide. However, there remains a border called "language." The essence of communication lies in receiving messages correctly and understanding one another. If we speak in different languages, we cannot comprehend each other, which is why we should study a common language everyone can understand.

Some argue that learning multiple languages simultaneously may hinder children's proficiency in both. Yet, I believe language practice goes beyond classroom lessons. Routine activities also offer ample opportunities for practice. We need not worry about their mother tongue since they can use it anytime. In this globalized world, it's crucial to pay attention to learning multiple languages.
