It was my first time studying in another country alone. I went to the UK, which had always been my dream destination. On May 14, 2023, my dream came true, and I stayed there for a whole month, which turned out to be one of the most special times in my life.

At St. Giles School, I got to meet classmates from all over the world. In my class, there were students from many different countries, such as Korea, Taiwan, Ukraine, Turkey, Belgium, Brazil, and, of course, Thailand. We did lots of things together like having picnics, eating lunch, and playing football. We became close friends and were always there for one another. I learned so much about their cultures and experiences, even though we came from different backgrounds.

I was lucky to stay with a kind host named Rita during my entire stay. She treated me like her own child. Every morning, she made breakfast for me before I went to school, and she cooked dinner for me too.

During my free time after school and on weekends, I explored the incredible city of London. There were so many famous places to visit, but I couldn't see them all. The British Museum was at the top of my list because I love history. It's one of the biggest museums in the world and has artifacts from different parts of the globe. It was a fantastic place to learn about the history of humanity.

My time in the UK taught me a lot. I learned how to adapt to a new environment, culture, school, and friends. It was challenging at first, but I got used to it. I had to figure out how to use public transportation, order food, and solve problems on my own. It was a valuable experience that made me grow and mature as a person.

You flew in on May 14th -that was the day I flew to Thailand from Heathrow airport, London.

Yes, you adapted very well learning quickly how to manoeuvre around London. It can be quite daunting at first. Like any large city, it takes some time to get to grips with the local transport system. The main thing is to keep safe and always ask for information before heading out to the unknown -especially late at night. They do have 24 hour buses in and out of the centre of London though, which is invaluable for those on a budget as taxis are expensive. And by the way, The British history museum is one of my favourites and highly recommended.
