Adventures Down Under: A Journey of Trust and Discovery in Australia

Written by Ou

Just another Thai tripper

I had a two-week break from work, so I decided to visit my two sisters in Australia. One is pursuing a Master's degree at Sydney University, and the other is on a Work and Holiday Visa for her gap year. During this trip, not only did I bring our parents to see my sisters, but we also got to explore Sydney and Tasmania together.

Australia's pristine environment with abundant trees, wildlife, and clear rivers showcased how people there prioritize living in harmony with nature and follow regulations to maintain this balance.

Upon arriving in Sydney, we had some concerns about my sisters' living conditions as young females without relatives in a foreign country. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we saw their apartment. They managed to sign a rental contract directly with the owner, a feat not easy for students like them. This demonstrated their capability to handle their lives independently, allowing us to focus on enjoying our trip without worrying about assisting them.

One unforgettable experience was going whale watching in Sydney. We spotted two whales just thirty minutes after boarding the ship, and one of them even performed a stunning jump. Although we missed capturing it on camera, the moment became a cherished memory.

As a team, we explored Sydney and Tasmania, strengthening our trust and respect for my sisters as adults. Living abroad and managing their lives showcased their maturity, leaving a profound impact on both my parents and me. This trip fostered a deeper bond and belief in each other's capabilities, making it an unforgettable and cherished memory.
